Your customer base for this role includes payers, PCTs, CCGs, Any Qualified Providers, Memory Clinics, Private Hospitals and relevant Clinical staff. Dementia is currently very high on both the NHS agenda and public perception based on recent media campaigns. There are over 820,000 people living with dementia in the UK today, a number forecast to rise rapidly as the population ages. The disease costs the UK economy £23 billion per year. That is twice that of cancer, three times the impact of heart disease and four times that of stroke. 163,000 new cases of dementia occur in England and Wales each year - one every 3.2 minutes. Your remit for this role includes selling the concept of the product, service redesign, reimbursement & funding, creation of guidelines and NHS policies as they affect uptake of new technology.
